Volunteer creative services for a non-profit

If you’ve got skills in writing, community management, or design, try volunteering for a non-profit organization. Giving a non-profit a new look or voice will help get them noticed, so they can continue to do good work, and you can continue to feel good. Plus, it’ll look awesome on your CV and give you and your talent some exposure.

Not sure where to start?
Here are some suggestions:

Tip 1

Put all your relevant work in a portfolio and send it out to organizations to show them what you can do.

Tip 2

Create a pitch with all of your creative ideas for the organization in a mock-up presentation (like a viral social media fundraising campaign).

Tip 3

Let the organization know that all of your work can be done online so they won’t even have to find office space for you. Plus that way, you’ll be able to volunteer in your underwear. Doesn’t get much better.
