“T IS FOR THANKS” Promotion Official Rules

Promotion Period. The “T is for Thanks” Promotion (the “Promotion”) is held by the Rideau Hall Foundation (the “Foundation”) and runs from April 11, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. (ET) to April 15, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. (ET) (the “Promotion Period”).

Eligibility. The Promotion is open to residents of Canada who are 13 years and over. Employees, representatives and agents of the Rideau Hall Foundation, or any other legal entity it controls, its advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, goods and services related to this Promotion, as well as members of their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or common-law spouse and any individuals with whom such employees, representatives and agents are domiciled, are not eligible. Participation in this Promotion constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to abide by these Official Rules and the Foundation’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion.

How to participate. During the Promotion Period, nominate a Canadian friend who is a volunteer or gives generously or describe how you give back to your community (the “Participation”). On Facebook, like and comment on a post relating to the “T is for Thanks” promotion (the “Promotion”). On Instagram, leave a comment on the Promotion image and use the hashtag #SnapSomeGood or #CaptureLaGénérosité. On Twitter, tweet your Participation to @MyGivingMoment or @MesBeauxMoments and use the hashtag #SnapSomeGood or #CaptureLaGénérosité.

You must be the sole owner of the social media account and it must be your personal account. Your Participation may not infringe or violate the rights of any third party and must not contain any inappropriate content.

Giveaway. Each day during the Promotion Period, starting at 9:00 a.m. (ET), the first 50 persons to participate on any of the three social media will obtain a special-collection, volunteer-theme T-shirt (the “T-shirt”), an approximate value of $27, subject to compliance with these Official Rules. A total of 250 T-shirts will be given away during the Promotion Period. T-shirts come in 3 models (1 in French and 2 in English) and in 4 sizes (Women S, Unisex S, M, L) and will be given away on a first-come first-served basis as they are claimed. T-shirts must be accepted as described in these Rules and cannot be substituted for another model or size or exchanged for cash. There is a limit of one T-shirt per person during the Promotion Period. T-shirts may not be given away if there is an insufficient number of participations in a day.

Awarding of T-shirts. If you are one of the first 50 participants of the day during the Promotion, you will be declared a winner. Winners who participated on Facebook and Twitter will be contacted directly by a Foundation representative and asked to provide full name, email address and/or telephone number. Winners who participated on Instagram will be asked by a Foundation representative to write a private message on the Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/mygivingmomentcampaign) and to provide full name, email address and/or telephone number. A Foundation representative will then email a claim form within five (5) days to the eligible winners. Each participant is responsible for monitoring his/her email account for the claim form notification or other communications relating to this Promotion. Complete the claim form by entering your last name, first name, complete address including postal code, and the T-shirt size you want and return it as instructed within 5 days of receipt. Your T-shirt will be mailed to you within 30 days following receipt of your claim form. Unclaimed T-shirts will not be given away.

Verification. Claim forms and Participations submitted are subject to verification by the Foundation. Any claim form and Participation which is, as the case may be, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, fraudulent, submitted late, bearing an invalid email address or otherwise noncompliant shall be rejected and will not entitle the entrant to a T-shirt.

Disqualification. The Promotion Organizers reserve the right to disqualify a person who does not comply with these Official Rules, refuses a T-shirt, tries to participate by using methods that are unfair to other participants or tries to sabotage the legitimate conduct of the Promotion. In such case, the T-shirt will be voided and will not be given away.

Liability limit. The Foundation and its advertising and promotion agencies disclaim all liability for any of the following that may limit or prevent any individual from participating in the Promotion: malfunctioning of any computer component, software or communications line; loss or lack of a communications network; or any transmission that is faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased by any computer or network. They also disclaim all liability for damages or loss that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any web page or software or by the transmission of any information relating to participation in the Promotion.

Privacy. No communication or correspondence related to this Promotion shall be exchanged with participants except as provided for in these Promotion Rules. Information collected from participants for the purpose of the Promotion is subject to the Foundation’s privacy policy at http://mygivingmoment.ca/privacy-policy/.

Any question, comment or complaint regarding the Promotion must be directed to the Foundation and not to the social media. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and all their affiliates, directors, officers, agents and employees are not liable for any claims arising out of or in connection with the organization of this Promotion. However, by participating in this Promotion, each participant agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of use, contracts, other policies and/or guidelines governing the aforementioned social media and releases the Foundation, its advertising and promotion agencies, their employees, agents and representatives from and against any damage that could arise from the use of the social media.
